Repeat 4.999 equals 5.0 theoretically but I digress, this blanket is great. is made by taking two large panels of fabric (sewn around the outer perimeter), after which the compartment is filled. After filling, the compartment is sewn / quilted according to a specific pattern (diamond-shaped in this case). This design prevents the filling from shifting, which ensures an even heat. Although this design is preferred over those that do not have sewn containment chambers, sewn quilts do not allow the filler to fully open. In this quilt, the box stitch is made of non-elastic yarn, but both sides are made of elastic material. The first night I stretched it and broke a lot of the threads. This doesn't detract from the performance of this most amazing blanket, but it's worth keeping an eye on. Benefits: - cool on one side, warm on the other - combinable with a fan or air conditioning to wick away sweat and keep you cool. .You must "see" to fully appreciate it.
