The friction fit can loosen from time to time, just press the two ends and it should stay in place, even if your dog scratches it it may come loose. We bought this to find our little black Boston Terrier mix in our dark backyard at night as she tends to look for ways to get out. It is easily recognizable by flashing or steady light modes. We charge it maybe once a week. Great idea for this product.
