Review on πŸ§‚ Zassenhaus Speyer 5.1-Inch Dark Stained Beech Pepper Mill: Superior Quality and Style for Perfectly Ground Pepper by Jesse Nguyen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Seriously LOVE this! on Salt & Pepper

This is AWESOME! I was a bit concerned about other reviews about how difficult it is to turn and fill. I haven't found that neither is true in my case. It is just as difficult to fill as a normal pepper mill. I make a cup/funnel out of one hand and use it to put the peppercorns in. Very simple, just a few seconds. I didn't remove the center spindle, just the top and crank, and filled in everything else. I had no problems turning. There is no need for cumbersome balancing or boosting like I've read in other reviews. It doesn't spin smoothly like a bicycle wheel, but it shouldn't rattle either. There is a little resistance but it's not difficult, me and my 8 year old son had no problems. The main thing is that he polished nicely! I felt divine music in the room when I turned it on. Serious. It was great. I've posted a photo of my old coffee grinder (which cost about $25 at a local store) and for comparison. Each mill was only turned three times. Check out this heap of peppers at the Sassenhaus from just three turns. It's epic. I can give everyone one for Christmas. I couldn't be happier with that.
