I tried another highly rated Thunderbolt cable first but the results were inconsistent. This cable works great. I can slide the cable or connectors from either side and my video doesn't flicker or show any other signs of instability. I think that's what you need. Update January 8, 2021: I had a chance to contact Basevs customer service about this cable after the first month or two of use. They were very responsive and resolved my issue immediately. As such, this is a great cable backed by a great company.
