We use this mini bucket for cat litter and it works well for this purpose. In my opinion it's too small for diapers unless you need to fit the diaper pail in a very tight space and don't mind emptying the diaper bin very often. These buckets are ok and contain odors (both cat and diaper odor) but they don't stand up to excessive handling. We have a second full size one as the first one fell apart after about a year and a half.
