Alternative attachment method

I don't even have metal in the door but I bought it because I found the flat rectangular surface was perfect for attaching command bars. Here's what I did. First I removed the adhesive backing from the magnet, then taped the usual medium sized strips onto the magnet itself and taped it to the door glass. Some people use Command Hooks to hang curtain rods, but in my case I didn't think they would stick out over the blinds and I just thought it looked better. Of course I can't guarantee this approach, do it at your own risk etc. but it's been working for a week now and I don't think it's going to drop any time soon. As for the cornices themselves, I found them. A little frustrating is that the telescoping pole didn't stay attached to the larger pole when pulled through the curtain, so it was a little tiring. However, it worked for my needs as a cheap and messy way to close my door window. Update: This has been running without problems for five months now. In fact, I didn't remove the adhesive backing from one of the four magnets, but eventually it fell off, so all you have to do is stick the strip onto the magnet.
