My shoes are abused every winter. You end up with salt and dirt on them. I tried to make them as shiny as possible but they still came out a little cloudy. I was skeptical about using any other product but I'm glad I tried this one. The shoes lost their veil and returned to "blackness". There is also no foreign chemical smell. Smells like it uses essential oils. That was a plus for me because I've never been a fan of chemical smells.
