Review on Front Door Radio Speaker - GM Genuine Parts 25943916 by Nicholas Suave

First of all this speaker isn't that great so if I was trying to get a good sound I would spend money and get a better product. However, this has more to do with the lack of audio issues that were common on the Cobalt and some other cars from the same era. The window seal around the bottom of the windows doesn't quite fit to the inside of the door of my Cobat. This is a GM manufacturing defect that causes water to run down the windows and into the door panels when it rains. It happens to be right above the speaker terminal. This causes wear and sometimes a short circuit in the speaker. I replaced the speakers and used electrician's putty around the connections to ensure this doesn't happen again. This will solve the problem. The speakers may turn off from time to time; sometimes work, but others don't. You can notice this in the cold or in the morning when condensation collects on the inside of the panel and flows down. Overall it worked and I can't take any stars off the product because the makers were clueless.
