My 2010 Mac has started to get agitated recently. First I dealt with black screens on startup. After scouring the internet I was able to fix this, although for about a year more or less. Then I had problems with the screen freezing on startup. The Apple logo appears and the loading bar stops about 2/3 of the way. After searching the web again and trying multiple times to fix the problem, I found that my hard drive had been removed. But fear not, OWC will come to the rescue. They sell a replacement hard drive kit that will have you up and running in no time. They provide instructional videos for the installation process. It took me about 35 minutes to physically remove the old one and install the new one. My only problem as I am a newbie was installing a new operating system. After hours of frustration, I finally read somewhere that I need to reformat my hard drive. Once that process was complete, I was ready to go. I installed a new OS and haven't looked back since. I am very happy with the results and saved a lot of $$.
