The old one was worn out and fell into small pieces. I replaced both in the driveway without lifting the back end, just reaching in. I sprayed the brackets with silicon spray and rubbed the edges of the fenders with lithium grease before installing them. Insert the outermost edge first and push the rest up with your thumb and pressure. It connects right away. Five or six lugs keep them in place. There are no bolts or nuts to remove.
