Useful tips before ordering

, I ordered this for a Chinese 30 series TAV2 comet also known as a torque converter. But no matter what you order it for, make sure you measure the shaft you will be putting this sprocket on. This sprocket will fit a 5/8" shaft but not a 16mm shaft. Apparently some TAV2 torque converters have a 16mm driveshaft and some have a 5/8" driveshaft. I got lucky because mine came with a 5/8" shank. An easy way to tell if your shaft is metric or not is to measure the key. If you have a 3/16" wrench, then you have a 5/8" shank. If you have a 5mm wrench, you have a 16mm metric rod. 5/8 is very close to 16mm. If you happen to swap that sprocket to a 16- MM shaft the 5mm wrench will not fit this sprocket This sprocket is not designed to fit and run for my application The sprocket is wider than the 10 tooth sprocket my TAV came with I had to make a thin shim for the 9 tooth to match the width of the wedge pulley and the 10 tooth sprocket.I had to do this because the alignment of the pulley is important and wouldn't be anywhere near right if I did it would install with the wedge washer that TAV came with.To fit this sprocket with the from To use the washer I made, I would have to cut out the key to make room for the washer I made. I will have 2 wrenches on the 5/8" shaft. One for the sprocket and one for the pulley with my washer separating them. The sprocket quality looks ok but the tooth width is a bit narrower than the original 10 Teeth design should work fine.
