I had to attach the edge to the vinyl. I've ever had to deal with it. First off, it didn't fit the Singer's standard 7mm stem as it sagged less than 1mm. I had to file the sides to get it in place. To make it fit I found that the hole the needle had to go through did not match my needle as you can clearly see in the photos. The hole is too far to the right to fit, my needle position was as far to the right as possible. The dangerous part came when I thought I put it through the hole, switched to a zig zag stitch pattern and then it seemed like a very tight needle hole. I stepped on the pedal and immediately clicked the needle. Parts of it hit my face, luckily I wear glasses and didn't injure my eyes. It is not designed to be compatible with standard Singer leg braces. It's not good quality and I wouldn't recommend it.
