For most of my life I have worn/used Playtex medium to light 'living' latex rubber gloves and the like for washing dishes and similar household chores; Switched to lightweight "disposable" nitrile gloves a few years ago because I developed a latex allergy and they (disposable nitriles) were readily available (before the virus of course!). Disposable nitriles are easy to use and generally inexpensive, but are relatively flimsy and typically last on me for maybe a few days. So I was excited to try these Pacific PPE reusable nitrile gloves which are not that light. The pacific PPE sizing chart for these gloves seems pretty unclear to me, seemed to indicate I need a size large, but I have never taken large size gloves, always a medium size and that's why I'm a medium size here Ordered which was a good decision as despite their sizing guide the average pacific PPE glove turned out to be about medium straight away, about the right size on my hand. However, this glove is relatively thick and very stiff and strong, so of course not very elastic compared to the other two rubber gloves mentioned above. And that has very ambiguous consequences. The glove has nice long cuffs, very nice for my liking, and the stiffness of the glove helps hold the cuff in better than other gloves. But this glove fits, although it generally fits me in size. It seems designed for a hand of a completely different shape, proportion and structure than mine, although I think my hand is pretty normal/average in all of those aspects. And the combination of the odd poor fit, thickness, stiffness and toughness of the glove material results in a poor overall fit, fairly limited hand movement and definitely limited dexterity. I can't get a good grip with my fingertips with this glove, nor can I spread my fingers too wide. These gloves have a grippy texture on the front/palm, similar to Playtex gloves. Even so, the grip on them is less reliable than any other glove, perhaps because the rubber is harder and less sticky. These gloves appear to be quite durable and as such I would expect them to be relatively strong and durable. . I received a pack of 4 pairs, I would imagine they could last a long time. Mine came in shocking pink, I wouldn't pick it first but probably minimizes the chance of losing them! Compared to two other rubber gloves - Playtex and disposable nitrile - this reusable nitrile glove from Pacific PPE is superior in terms of strength, expected durability, cuff and (compared to Playtex) latex-free; but inferior in fit, dexterity and grip. Obviously I'm not thrilled with any of these gloves. I think I'll give this Pacific PPE glove 4 stars without commitment and probably won't be getting any more of these gloves, at least not any time soon. Instead, I'll probably try other similar reusable nitrile gloves in hopes of finding better ones, at least for my hands.
