Almost everything worked
The kit is exactly as described and works well. The difficulty lies in the length of the cord that the power/dimmer device is attached to. It's too short to be comfortable. The total length of the cord is about a foot, including the transition from the power cord to the switch and then to the distribution block. Installing it in our wall unit required compromises that I didn't have to make.
