So I ordered a FlashForge Finder 3D printer and ran out of the filament that came with it. I had to order another spool of PLA and quickly discovered that many of the PLAs sold at Revain come in larger spools than the compartment on the back of the FFF 3D will allow. I looked at Revain and saw this. It was a PREMIER purchase, it was cheap and looked like it could do what I needed. Some reviews complained about some aspects of the spool holder. The two most common were: 1. It is difficult to assemble. So this is just a couple of sheets of acrylic that will be cut to form the frame for the spool holder. It comes with 4 sets of screws, 4 sets of nuts and a metal rod to hold the thread spool. There were no instructions in my order but it seems pretty easy. There is a small spot on each leg to insert a nut and then use the included screws on the outside of the legs and tighten. Yes, the parts are small, but when you think about it, putting it together is quite easy. I only used one finger to insert and hold the nut and then used the other to insert and tighten the bolt from the side. It's not difficult at all. This complaint seems invalid.2. The protective paper on the outside of the spool holder is difficult to remove. This is a valid complaint, when I received it I tried to peel off the paper and quickly realized that peeling it off would be a hassle and I would probably just stick strips of paper on it. I just didn't bother to remove the paper. This does not affect the design of the product but looks a bit ugly with paper on it. I give it one star because the paper is difficult to remove. I'm sure there is a sane way to get rid of this, I just couldn't handle it. One complaint I have is that I would have preferred if the words hadn't been cut down the side. I don't care how it looks and it looks like an advertisement. This does not affect the design of the spool holder in any way and this is a minor complaint so I will not judge the product on that. In short, it's affordable, easy to assemble, and does exactly what it's advertised to do. do. If there is an easier way to remove the paper from the spool holder I would simply suggest that they pack a small piece of sales brochure for future products that tells you how to do it.
