I have hardware that needs to work from a locally attached computer, but I wanted to be able to control the computer from another room (about 100 feet away). After installing it, I immediately had problems, so I called tech support. The tech support person didn't seem to know much about this model (SV565UTPU) but was very helpful and gave me the right information. I found that despite my assumption at the time of purchase, my model does not allow the use of both remote and local keyboard/mouse when the device is in A/B firmware mode. The keyboard/mouse can only be used from one location and I have to physically press the switches in both locations to swap them. My standard keyboard didn't work with my model so I had to replace the keyboard. When I move/touch the remote device, the monitor display at the remote end flickers, so I suspect that one of the connections might not be 100%. As long as it serves its purpose I will not return it; But if I could do a remake I would probably choose a different model or brand.
