Review on Seaflo Pre Pressurized Accumulator Tank by James Trapkin

Revainrating 1 out of 5

LEAKS! This tank blows water between the two halves where they are bolted together.

I really liked this product at first and was looking forward to improving my RV's water supply. It was easy to install and didn't take up much space in an already crowded bay. On this positive moment ended. After installation I connected the water supply (a jug of water for testing) and charged the system. At first I only had a small leak from the tank inlet fitting (clamp) so I tightened it up a bit and fixed the leak. I then went to the trainer to check the pump cycle rate and found it improved greatly. But why do I hear water when the tap is turned off? I immediately shut off the pump, returned to the reservoir and noticed that water was pouring out of the top seam of the reservoir onto the lower part of the car floor (see image, water is visible above the reservoir). After spending several hours reconfiguring my water system, including adding this tank and a new, more efficient pump, I was furious! How could it be brand new and leaking? Most likely poor quality of work. So it has come and gone. Now that I had a better look at the 1-rated reviews, I realized that other people were having the same problem. Not only with this particular tank, but also with a similar one sold at Revain for about $10 more. Most likely from the same factory (hmm, I wonder where it is). I hope the seller will refund my money for the purchase, it is already packed.
