High quality tank that reduces the number of pump cycles

I installed this tank in series with the pump to supply water to the kitchen from the tank. This significantly reduces the number of pump start and stop cycles. Very high quality construction. One caveat: I used brass fittings on the tank and accidentally twisted the plastic fitting on the body. MY DEBT! If you choose not to use the fittings provided, be very careful when using brass fittings. I ended up buying a second tank as the first one was ruined.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Sturdy but small. for engine cooling and air conditioning

Please make sure you need this size before ordering. I did this because I just needed a bit of pulse control for my on-demand water pump. If you want to prime your system and then use it without running the pump every time you turn on the faucet, get a much larger tank. I've found that the best result is to have about HALF the air pressure as the maximum pump pressure, which reduces pump cycles compared to the recommendation that the air pressure should equal the pump pressure. Experiment…

Improved water system with fewer pumpdowns

This device isn't magic, but as expected the number of pumpdowns has been reduced. It stores a small amount of water which forces the compressed air back into the supply lines WITHOUT restarting the pump, reducing pump cycles. As expected, when you take a shower, the pumps are still running almost non-stop. I followed the instructions and adjusted the air tank pressure to 60psi. They claimed it was pre-charged at 10psi, but I only measured about 4psi, so I'm guessing it's been in a warehouse…

Great product, suitable for batteries and parts

The existing water pump in our semi-trailer connected directly to the PEX piping which was a no-go. When the pump was running, it hummed and vibrated heavily. I installed this accumulator horizontally with a twin hose kit (from Revain) at the water pump outlet. Installation was very easy. The water pump was moved about 2 inches to allow the hoses to be installed. I used the pressure gauge on my small air compressor to read the starting pressure of the pump and adjusted the accumulator…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Solved several problems in our RV

I upgraded our bus's water pump to a variable speed pump, which was fine for most applications, but it pulsed horribly when we downshifted to save water. This tank eliminated that completely. I didn't have to mess with the air pressure in the tank, everything worked out of the box. However, I had to buy 2 more barbed fittings and a piece of pressure hose to complete the installation. Another issue affected was the use of water in multiple locations; This allows the pump to speed up to meet…

Pros
  • . High score for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • . There are other interesting options.

I really liked this product at first and was looking forward to improving my RV's water supply. It was easy to install and didn't take up much space in an already crowded bay. On this positive moment ended. After installation I connected the water supply (a jug of water for testing) and charged the system. At first I only had a small leak from the tank inlet fitting (clamp) so I tightened it up a bit and fixed the leak. I then went to the trainer to check the pump cycle rate and found it…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Some small things

Buy this. Serious. Edit: Not

Edit: Scroll down to see the update in a year. Wow. I knew these storage tanks would work in shallow well systems (they are often built into borehole pumps) but figured if the RV needed them they would be built in. This thing made my existing noisy pump very quiet. It costs twice as much. It was easy to install, I just bought some braided plumbing line at a local hardware store. With my setup I only needed one of the two I bought. They have 1/2" NPT threads (the same as the FIP that water pipes

Pros
