I got tired of searching my Passport X70 on the ground every morning after the factory mount failed, plus the subsequent soldering of the mirror valve that vomited from the force of the detector. So, I searched every 30 seconds and bought this ChargerCity mount because of the price ($15) and the flawless manual lever lock, which I knew was right when I wanted to keep my detector on the window. AND YES. My detector isn't going anywhere. This mount is STRONG as evidenced by the amazing force required to lock the lever. I'm sure if a tornado ripped through my windshield and threw the glass across three counties this mount would still be in place. MY ONE PITCH, which is definitely a compromise for suction power, is its size. He's damn big. More than I expected. I had to completely rethink the placement of my mount. It wouldn't fit exactly under the visor without interfering with vision, and also just under the rear view for the same reason as the first one, but it found a good spot under the left side of the rear view. YMMV as I use this in my 2016 BMW 3 Series with a mirror housing that is so bulky it doesn't fit in a standard radar mirror bracket which led me to purchase this lovely product.
