I think skinny people could use their proper size just fine but if you're a little fluffier like me then you wanna go a size up from your regular shirt size. I got a size up and it's plenty roomy. My normal size fit too snug.Fit aside- the quality of this is amazing! the outside is a very sturdy nylon like material, very thick! The inside is a silvery material that I'm guessing is similar to those silver emergency blankets or something because this thing holds in the heat! I live in Oklahoma and I can only use this coat in the very coldest of days but I absolutely hate the cold so it does get it's use on those days! But in general our winters here are cold but not FREEZING cold. This thing really performs best in freezing temps in my opinion.I tried wearing it in the car and even with the heater off the thing was too hot! I came to realize this thing is like a heat suit and I just have to pull it off before getting in the car or I about pass out from being too hot!SO the take away is- the quality with these coats is AMAZING! We own 3 of them and every single one has come in a nice bag and they're all made extremely well! All of them are very warm! I just can't say enough good things about these coats- I'm blown away by them!
