I'm upgrading to an iPhone 12 with Magsafe charging options and magnetic accessories. The current car mount I had in the car used a metal plate on the back of the old phone to hold it in place. This new magnetic model didn't need what was said, so I picked one up. It holds my iPhone12 perfectly, the only problem is that it doesn't fit well in my car. It's too short for where I'm putting it and as a result the phone sits at an odd angle that's almost uncomfortable for the user. So I'm still looking for a new magnetic car mount for iPhone 12. It will be used elsewhere once I find a model that suits my needs in my car. I'm sure it will work on other types of vehicles but not on me and unfortunately where I have options to install it.
