I recently gifted this to my girlfriend's parents who were in desperate need of a new set. They needed a new set so badly they basically cut themselves left and right because they used dull knives so often they didn't even think the knives would even cut it clean lol. Best of all, the device automatically sharpens the knives when you pick them up. and there places on a block of wood. Inside there are sharpening devices that allow you to sharpen the knives with every inward and outward movement. If you are personally looking for a new set this would be my TOP recommendation, not only are they affordable but from their style to their accuracy they are used almost daily now. Do yourself a favor and understand that these knives are SHARP! They cut very quickly and almost effortlessly, if you're not careful you can hurt yourself, try to avoid deep punctures and pressure to think you can do something in your hand unless you're a "professional chef". , most "ADULTS" think. are professionals PROFESSIONAL COOKERS DO NOT USE BLIND KNIVES, ADULTS (PERIOD). Be safe, understand knives and their cutting habits, and always don't cut your hands. You won't get used to the harshness and will most likely end up cutting your skin or worse.
