Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Silent Cooling Power: Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU Cooler with 250W TDP, BK022 by Pop Henneghan

Dark Rock Pro 4 easily cools 14 Intel cores!

If, like me, you're worried that the water cooler might leak, but you're worried that the air cooler can't cope with the 14-core Intel processor, let me put your mind at ease. I just built a computer to handle my 4K video editing needs. I knew this would mean lots of cores and more GPU power. I chose a 14-core I9-7940x processor with a base frequency of 3.1 GHz and a boost of 4.3 GHz. At the time of my purchase, it was only $100 more expensive than a Ryzen model with similar cores and speeds. I trust Intel products and have never used AMD, so the choice was easy for me. My biggest concern was the air cooling of the 14 cores. I couldn't find any reviews of anyone using it to cool a 14-core processor, but I took the risk anyway. I considered the Noctua D15, but according to Noctua it could only handle 165 TDP (a measure of how much CPU heat it can dissipate) and the Pro 4 can handle 250 TDP, so I went with the Pro 4. My first 4k rendering failed the test. my mind. I rendered a 29 minute video in 31 minutes (it took my old 4 core I5 8-9 hours for the same task). I was monitoring the system temperature and fan speed all the time and the processor peaked at 61 degrees (Intel states a maximum temperature of 104 for this processor)! During games and other more "normalโ€ tasks, the temperature does not remain more than 45-50 degrees, and during idle time - 31. I am very satisfied! The cooler is HUGE but looks FABULOUS and is more than capable of cooling my CPU at stock speeds, whisper quiet and I don't have to worry about water leaks. I'm not a fan of overclocking, but with that much headroom, I could easily take things up a few notches and leave room. If you need good cooling and don't want to worry about water leaks, Dark Rock Pro 4 is probably your best bet. 2080 GTX prices drop slightly Samsung EVO 970 M.2 1 GB drive for programs Samsung EVO 970 M.2 1 GB drive for work files WD Blue 3.5 4 TB drives (2) for storage
