As a Cuban, I eat rice almost every other day. I have been cooking rice since I was a child. Since I bought the rice cooker, there was only one problem with this rice cooker. Yes, he's handsome and cooks rice fast, but what's the point if he can't even get it right? The first issue I had was how messy it is. The little cap on the lid releases a ridiculous amount of residue. When you're done, the entire top of the lid will be covered with it. This wouldn't be too much of a problem if the oven was just doing what it's supposed to do. How to cook rice properly Rice is undercooked 90% of the time. This rice cooker ruined my arroz with shit, carne with papa, fricassee de pollo. Even a banana doesn't make it any better. (It's a Cuban thing) I've tried every rice to water ratio I can think of but it doesn't matter. It's too late to return it, so I just threw it in the trash. I bought a cheaper brand and it cooks right.
