Review on πŸ’Ύ Sabrent USB 3.0 mSATA SSD Enclosure Adapter [Support UASP] - EC-UKMS: Ultimate Storage Solution by James Broome

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Avoid! Only works with USB 2.0 ports.

Update 2. The situation is getting worse and worse. Sabrent wants me to start the RMA process which requires me to send them my Revain invoice. There is no sense of urgency on their part to resolve this issue. I found a working USB 3.0 to mSATA enclosure here at Revain, so buy it if you want something that actually works: http://www.amazon.com/gp /product/B00NTQGZK6?psc=1&redirect =true&ref_= oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00Update: I contacted Sabrent about my issues and they asked a typical troubleshooting question: Does my computer's USB 3.0 port work with other USB 3.0 devices? I will keep updating if anything new comes up. Original review Sigh. I forgot to read the reviews for this product before purchasing. I thought it would be nice to have a 1TB USB flash drive that is smaller than a standard hard drive enclosure. So I bought this case and a Samsung SSD 850 EVO mSATA to put in. As others have said, when connected to my computer's USB 3.0 port, Windows 8.1 reports that the device is constantly being plugged in and unplugged. When I plug in my computer's USB 2.0 port, everything works, but at much slower USB 2.0 speeds. Additional information: 1. I tried this case with another mSATA, Intel SSD 525 120GB. Same results as above.2. My computer's USB 3.0 port is unlikely to be faulty as it correctly recognizes a Sandisk USB 3.0 USB 64GB flash drive at speeds close to the device's advertised maximum speed.3. That's not the only case I've seen. I suspect this is a flawed design implemented by all manufacturers. I hope this review helps others.
