Solid, small and fast! Accommodates a 1TB mSATA drive!

This case is perfect for the Samsung 850 EVO mSATA 1TB drive! It is as small as an mSATA case and very durable. It even comes with an inexpensive (but working) screwdriver. I installed and formatted my Samsung drive in less than three minutes. However, pulling nearly TB of photos onto it took a little longer. I ran a Blackmagicdesign drive speed test on a Samsung drive. The attached image shows the results.

crap, look for something else.

At first everything seemed fine, started moving some files (250MB/s) and then it started to slow down or have connection problems. When attempting to transfer files back, it would disconnect about every 10 seconds, or worse, if it touched the drive. It looks like a problem with the USB port on the case, I replaced the cable with one of mine and it worked better, but still the connection dropped every 30 seconds or so, I ended up having to hold it in a special way . and press the end of the…

Easy setup and works as advertised.

I sold my laptop which had a SATA hard drive and an mSATA hard drive to keep my data separate from the C drive. So I kept the mSATA hard drive for obvious reasons; not only because my personal data was on it, but also for security reasons as wiping the drive does not guarantee that your data is completely gone. I bought this Sabrent USB 3.0 mSATA II or III/6G SSD Enclosure Adapter, attached an mSATA drive to it, plugged it into a PC and it worked as advertised. There are no issues and it…

But the files copied fine when I went back to my Linux machine

Worked great for me when I upgraded to a larger drive. I bought two to clone an mSATA drive to a larger one. I used dd (Linux command) to make an exact copy, then used gparted to resize the partition to fill all the space on the new drive. Now I use the old one as a portable external storage device. Note. One day it failed to copy a few large video files (5-10GB) to a Windows 10 computer and the copy just got stuck with no progress. The task manager shows 100%. But the files copied fine when I…

Worked great on computers and accessories

My wife's Lenovo laptop went into an unrecoverable sleep mode, as did many others I've noticed online. I took almost everything apart trying to get it back, to the point where I decided to remove the hard drive and restore the information for use on a better laptop. "The hard drive turned out to be an M-series SSD, so I was optimistic when I found this case. Knowing about ESD (you should know ESD on the market) I measured the drive and it seemed to fit the chassis specs (30mm x 50mm (1.1" x…

Works like a magic trick.

My old Gigabyte P35 v2 laptop died so I had a 128GB recycled mSATA SSD as a replacement. I discovered this Sabrent case and decided to give it a try. And nothing to say other than that it works great. Also very fast. As mentioned, there is a slight rumble when moving/shaking the case, but that's not a problem for me at all. The thing's tiny size, the fact that you can fit a beefy mSATA drive in it, and the thing's sheer speed as a glorified jump drive make it seem silly to pick up a little…

Avoid! Only works with USB 2.0 ports.

Update 2. The situation is getting worse and worse. Sabrent wants me to start the RMA process which requires me to send them my Revain invoice. There is no sense of urgency on their part to resolve this issue. I found a working USB 3.0 to mSATA enclosure here at Revain, so buy it if you want something that actually works: http://www.amazon.com/gp /product/B00NTQGZK6?psc=1&redirect =true&ref_= oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00Update: I contacted Sabrent about my issues and they asked a typical…

The perfect little USB stick for 1TB

Very good little device at a good price. I ended up buying two of these because I was concerned about reliability. I've tested them a bit extensively and both seem to work as advertised. I'm not sure how they will hold up over the long term, but they seem legit. I hope I can answer some of the complaints I've read in the reviews. The design is nice and simple, clean and seems well made. It doesn't have the big glowing logo on the front like some designs, which I'm really pleased about. It's…
