It works like a belt and in the 5 weeks I've had it I've gone through airport security metal detectors about a dozen times and never has the alarm failed . . The quality and workmanship of the belt seems to be quite good. I can't think of a single belt that has fallen apart and as long as the buckle holds I can't imagine this one falling apart. The color in the Revain product images shows that the bracelet may appear slightly darker and with a matte finish than what I received, but there is always a risk in buying something that you cannot physically hold and see. It may fade and weather with use. I measured the existing belt at the most commonly used hole as suggested, but found myself using the second hole from the buckle on the new belt (see image). It's not a big deal to me, if I somehow manage to lose enough weight that I run out of holes, I can always make one. I ordered on Tuesday with estimated delivery next Tuesday. It arrived 2 days later on a Thursday via USPS so that was a bonus. While personally I would have preferred a slightly wider strap with more color options, the one I received was pretty much what I expected and does what I need. Airport security is a necessary issue, but with the new seat belt, it's become more bearable.
