Overall, it’s a good machine. Bigger than standard toasters so probably not ideal to be kept on the counter at all times.The toasting mechanism is good. My complaint would be width/depth of the slot when completely open. It’s so large that smaller or thinner items will fall into it, which makes it hard to pick up when some toasting and scorching hot. The resting depth should shorter and it should plunge to the deeper depths to fit longer items. As it’s designed now, even a smaller piece of standard white bread can lead to an uncomfortable retrieval.The broiling mechanism is a nice feature and, when making something for yourself, is more convenient that using your full oven broiled. However, and this was to be expected, it isn’t as powerful as your oven broiler so it takes longer and leaves the item more cooked.I gave it 4 stars because of the design issues, but it’s still a nice machine.
