I have just assembled this cat house and was very happy with the quality: solid wood panels, no veneer, well finished. The heating pad fits and has a cord suitable for outdoor use. It was easy to assemble in under 15 minutes. Now that winter is coming I needed a small house for my covered porch to provide shelter to a few neighborhood street cats who seem trapped in their homes and end up in the mine looking for food and attention. We have raccoons so a back exit was necessary to ensure no one got trapped. I have looked at the products available on various websites and Revain and the price of this unit was a fraction of what was being charged for less solid homes sold without heating. The house is small which I took as a plus as a small house is more likely to heat up and stay warm than a large one. However, there is enough space for all but the largest of cats. All in all, if you are looking for a well made wooden cat house for a small to medium sized cat, this is it.
