Intel Haswell Core i5-4670 (3400MHz, LGA1150, L3 6144Kb) I was able to overclock it to 3600 MHz without raising the voltage or doing anything else unusual by simply altering the multiplier in the BIOS. I don't have the "K" index, therefore in theory it shouldn't have been! Indeed, once a week under heavy use the 3600 MHz frequency can cause a freeze. It runs smoothly at 3400 MHz. I used a 37x multiplier (3700 MHz). The system reports a speed of 3600 MHz, however benchmarking software reveals a much higher performance level. In most cases, adjusting the multiplier resulted in a 10% improvement in measured performance. There was no change to either the stability or the working temperature.
