I saw this on Nigel Danson's YouTube video. For the landscape travel photographer (pre-COVID) one of the biggest challenges has been charging all the different phones, flashlights, camera batteries etc etc that you need in a remote location. And with the pitiful condition of the sockets in the hotel rooms (why always behind the bed?). I had to bring a portable plug in my bag to plug everything in. A universal outlet allows me to pull a plug, a multi-outlet USB charger, and a long cord to reach those hidden outlets in a hotel room and still have it all. handy when charging. And the cheap plug I had didn't include a surge protector.
