Review on Tulip Company Etimo Rose Crochet Knitting & Crochet in Crochet Hooks by Kelsey Brown

Hybrid/Rifled - high quality

tried many brands of hooks starting with boya, switched to susan bates inline when i was a beginner like i love this style of inline understood in contrast to the conical fighting style. But Bates hooks aren't very high quality these days and I was looking for ergonomic hooks with a soft grip. I tried the Clover Soft Touch which I recommend as it has a tapered/inner hybrid like this hook. Tried the Clover Amour hook, too sharp, but liked the matte finish of the hook. I tried the addi swing, I wanted to like it, but it seemed too big and too heavy. But what I like best are tulip hooks. I have a set of gray and gold Etimo tulip hooks but they are not the 3.00mm size. I'm not sure if the 2.75mm in grey/gold are basically the same size, but I checked the manufacturer's website. and it looked like they were really different sizes. The pink and silver hooks have the same head and handle material, the only difference is the color. I think it was mentioned somewhere but it seems that the pink/silver metal part of the hook has a slightly more matte finish than the gold/grey. If I don't need a specific size I'll stick with the grey/gold because I love how easily the yarn moves on it, but if I just want a specific size in pink/silver I'll take it here without hesitation.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
