I didn't like this razor at first. Aggressive as hell. I shaved 1 month in DE so I didn't have much experience. I put the razor away, swore off it for 3 months and used my good safe Edwin Jagger 89l - a great razor for beginners! I decided to return to the R41 and this time I used the Personna Israel (red pack) instead of the Derby now that I have more experience. Best shave! Baby, smooth butt!. As it is an aggressive blade, when the blades dull (about 5 days for me) you start cutting yourself, I know it sounds crazy, but when the blade dulls, push harder, not good with an aggressive blade ! This razor with a good blade requires NO pressure! I now use Feather blades in my R41, enjoy a super close shave and haven't used a Jagger in months.
