First of all Smallflower.com is a real pleasure to work with, they really are great. The only issue I have is that this R41 is actually the 2011 version that was not released on their Revain website. This is my second R41 and the reason I bought it was as a backup, yes I absolutely love this shaver. It finally worked because I was looking for an older version of this razor. I didn't like this razor at first. Aggressive as hell. I shaved 1 month in DE so I didn't have much experience. I put the razor away, swore off it for 3 months and used my good safe Edwin Jagger 89l - a great razor for beginners! I decided to return to the R41 and this time I used the Personna Israel (red pack) instead of the Derby now that I have more experience. Best shave! Baby, smooth butt!. This is the best razor you will ever buy. It is also perhaps the most "dangerous" of DE razors. There is quite a bit of blade exposure and the open comb offers more contact. Don't be afraid of the razor, just respect it. Pairing it with a very sharp blade like the Feather ensures the razor's weight gets the job done. Don't push or you'll cut yourself badly. I use this razor every day and wouldn't trade it for any other. I used to use Merkur HD, but I had to do too many passes and take too long.
