Someone asked why you can do more with a paper towel than with this product. Perhaps the question relates to a product that has been used on the floor in the past. If you've wiped a small spot on the floor and your paper towel or cloth looks horribly dark and dirty, chances are it's residue from a product like Bona that you thought was supposed to clean and protect. the problem itself, as I finally discovered after 6 years of hardwood floors and using Bona products. Clean, polish, rework. It's the same recurring problem. Frustrated consumers like me are DONE. You should all know that these products, even the cleaner, contain polish. At this point, let's just turn to the pictures. You will speak for yourself. Even the cleaner contains a "polishing" ingredient. Every time you think you're "cleaning" your investment (nice hardwood floors) you're causing a disaster that can be very costly to fix. All you want to do is enjoy your beautiful floors - you wash them, wipe them with a damp mop and think - yes, a little Bona will give me that feeling of contentment. I am a victim myself. I wash the floors conscientiously 1-2 times a week. In one stupid, crazy moment, I read the bottle on the back of the Bona cleaner and it recommended using a polish. So sure I made it. Oh my god we danced in socks all over the house. Hooray! I quickly noticed marks, scraps, stains, flakes and the like. Yes, I reached down and swiped my finger up to find my clothes "dirty". The? I just wiped it off with a mop! After a few months I started researching these products and I wanted nothing more than to get rid of all the Bona residue on my floor. I have read many stories about how to do this. Nothing against the "Vindex" option. Gave me a great idea but I didn't have a Windex. I've tried vinegar and organic orange peel cleaner. I ended up using pure ammonia with a Doodle Bug mop and good old hand and knee cleaning. I finally got the shit and the beauty is back. What have I ever thought of? The forest is beautiful! Why should I do anything about it? Oh come on, we always think there's something bigger, better. Take it easy. A safe, non-toxic cleaner or a mixture of vinegar and water is absolutely all you need, despite the manufacturer's recommendations. Just look at what I did in the photos below in the small area with no movement. Yes, that's the kind of bullshit you keep wiping off a freshly cleaned floor, but it's not easy to figure out. It's the remains of Bona shit stuck in the mud. I agree the floors are different so excuse me. The intention is to impart knowledge, not to offend. I've had all hardwoods (same issues) but ONLY used Bona Cleaner. Then a new home and newly added hickory hardwood floors. After a few months I figured they would have to clean themselves up after all the rework we had done. I just polished the last remaining areas with Bona polish. My husband returned home with incredible praise. OMG bottoms look AMAZING! Why didn't I just leave her like that? First. Hopefully you've only used the product a few times, or less if you're lucky. STOP, and if you're trying to figure out what's wrong with your floor, I wouldn't recommend professional floor sanding and polishing. per 1.50 sq.m. my hands and knees can do a lot (after installing the floor at $8,000). Go to a cleaning supplies store, buy a bug (the mop pictured is WHITE, make sure it's white - least abrasive), apply ammonia to the floor in small areas and lightly loosen the residue with it a scraper. Then wipe once. , two or three times with a clean rag. can you do that! I hope this helps anyone looking for information on how to clean their wooden floors and/or a means to remove residue from their floors. Or maybe you think your floors need to be brightened up. NO. You'll fall in love with your floors all over again when they're rid of all that Bona crap. No need for a giant miracle or fancy cleaner. You invested in hardwood floors because you liked them. So enjoy it and save yourself a lot of heartache, money and physical effort. Just stick with natural cleaners - NO BONA or something like that. I am happy to answer questions or share my tool with anyone who is interested. Kind regards. THE!
