It slid onto my adjustable bed along with the mattress. I tried everything I could find for it and nothing worked. When I fell out of bed one night because she slipped so badly, I came up with my own solution. The shelf brackets I already had, 3 screws per platform (my bed doesn't have a box spring), the mattress fits right in and allows you to move up and down but not side to side.
