Works perfectly! Updated: Yield is lower than advertised.

My first review: Works great. exactly what I expect from an HP product! Update: The last kit I received didn't have much toner. It's peak office season and we still used two cartridges in one week. more than twice as much as usual with "heavy" use. The one I just plugged in barely lasted 3 days. This would require 3 reams of paper and in that time I only opened 1 ream of paper. They were packaged in standard HP clear plastic boxes. not the same as the one i received. Instead of the usual plastic bubble wrap inside the box, they were just inside a cardboard grid. Due to the packaging change and lower yield than advertised, I'm wondering if these are still original HP cartridges. However, my HP software accepted them as HP. As for the resource, I don't think a 1500 page resource is enough. The cartridge should last more than 3 days with normal use by a single user. This is more for student or personal use than business. Even when switching to paperless documentation, this is simply not enough for companies. My first HP printer in the 80's had cartridges for 16,000 pages. Of course they were more expensive. but not much. They cost about $120 each and had all the toner in one cartridge, saving on plastic, recycling, overall cost, and the time/hassle of changing cartridges in the middle of print jobs. I would like HP to offer both high capacity (15000+) and low capacity cartridges (1500) to meet different needs of end users. got me looking at some of those non-genuine $20 cartridges with the same print volume.

Pros
  • Original HP toner cartridges print an average of 71% more usable pages than toner cartridges from other manufacturers.
Cons
  • Very expensive
