I was a little wary of purchasing as some hubs just don't work or have non-working ports. I tested the ports required for the Dell XPS - HDMI, USB3, SDHC card reader and laptop charge current input when using a hub. They all worked as advertised! I was also able to transfer files from a 256GB SDHC card (in the reader) to an attached 256GB USB drive. The hub is made entirely of aluminum and looks high quality. There were no issues with a weak or intermittent connection, and my WiFi was not affected.
