It cannot play 1440p, 240/260Hz in some games.

This has already been discussed in some reviews and on Reddit, but yes, this monitor supports 4K/120Hz in some games. Fortnite, Apex, PUBG, and SFV are some of the games that have encountered this issue. DSR is not activated; All settings are correct, but the monitor doesn't care. This makes it impossible to play 240/260Hz 1440p. I've tried creating my own resolution, turning off the display, turning the monitor on and off, nothing seems to work. The only real "solution" at the moment is to limit the displayport to 1.2 via the OSD. This lets you game at 1440p at all times, but caps the refresh rate at 144Hz, essentially making an entry-level 1440p monitor overpriced. This issue has apparently been known for months and LG has yet to confirm it. My specs are 3080, 5800x, 32GB RAM for reference. Save yourself the headache and buy something else.

Pros
  • I keep my fingers crossed
Cons
  • Static Noise: If the monitor signal is not strong enough, static noise may appear on the display.
