I'm so glad I have this. I got it because my home inspector said we'd probably have to replace the boiler in a few years when we bought our house. I received it and it just sat on my kitchen table for a while. After the hurricane I decided to finally put them in the basement where they were supposed to be. So today, out of nowhere, I heard a loud alarm. I thought it was my phone alarm but it wasn't and I remembered water alarms. I went to check my basement and found that water was pouring out of the boiler and there was about 1/2-1 inch of water in the boiler room. We managed to shut off the water in time. It literally saved my basement and everything in it. I don't think I would have noticed the boiler explosion if I hadn't sounded the alarm. I probably would have noticed a few hours later when I realized the water pressure was low. If you think about it, just buy it. It's worth the money and works well. You can even test it from time to time to make sure the batteries are working. It also comes boxed, so if one doesn't work, the other will.
