I received this for use on my Xbox Series MATCH: 1 Star Low bass was overemphasized and higher treble appeared like me I've always been in a tunnel (this might be overkill for some as I use Bose headphones when I'm not gaming, so my ears are used to better sound). It was clear and I could hear directional footsteps and the like but the shuffling always struck me as very odd and pulled me out of my dive fairly easily. After a few hours of gameplay, I noticed that my characters' dialogue was overloaded in one direction. Did some tests and found the left side was louder than the right. Sometimes he disappeared, but he always came back. Microphone: 3 stars. Works as intended with Xbox. Nothing surprising. Friends said I sound clear but the quality wasn't anything special. I would rate it higher if it weren't for the annoying downside that it doesn't work with Discord voice chat. And yes, I messed up all the settings. I've found that others have had this problem as well. I like the mute function. CONSTRUCTION: 3.5 stars. It's a decent piece of plastic, and I mean it in a good way. They're pretty solid for an entry-level headset. The plastic doesn't feel cheap, and it feels like it can take a hit (unlike Turtle Beach, which feels like I could crush them myself with a light grip). The rotating earcups are a nice touch and don't feel like they'll break when you rotate them. Durability seems good for the price. I didn't keep them for long but first impressions made me feel that at least they are not fragile. I didn't like the volume button, especially how it worked (no matter how it's placed on the ear pad). The volume slider doesn't slide smoothly and has stops for 5 or 6 volume levels, but when I adjusted the volume each time I went over bumps, it actually introduced some noise. I would prefer the volume slider to move smoothly. COMFORT: 5 stars That's where most of the stars come from. It is very comfortable. I wear a Bose QC35II every day and while they're definitely not as good as these, they're pretty damn close. The ear pads aren't tight, the headband doesn't press against the head, and the foam rubber ear pads are quite soft. I think they are definitely worth their price in this category. In the end I returned them and decided to buy another HyperX headset. HyperX CloudX (which I believe is actually the same as Cloud I and Cloud II, minus all the extra accessories). I will leave a review there but I will say it's a 5 star $69.99 headset for me.
