Bought to upgrade my old Netgear 6300 AC1750 with something faster. The Wavlink range was comparable to Netgear, giving us the same coverage throughout the house without the need for repeaters/extenders. In terms of speed, I noticed a bigger increase in connection speed to 2.4GHz than 5GHz compared to Netgear, but overall both 2.4GHz and 5GHz were faster on Wavlink. Now the problem is, the latest firmware update available is from 4/2019 (on their website) which is a bit concerning that there isn't a newer one, but also, after updating to this firmware, my devices are no longer 5GHz -Detect broadcast. I've checked twice and both 2.4 and 5GHz are enabled, this has tried turning 5GHz off then back on and even tried a factory reset of the router to no avail. Unfortunately, there is no way to roll back to a previous firmware version. EDIT: I was told there was newer firmware available but had to contact support to get it. Unfortunately I tried and got no response from anyone. I ended up sending it back before my returns window closed.
