I've loved the Klipsch sound ever since we had a pair of Cornwall speakers in college. Something about great response throughout the audio range with crisp highs that don't get in the way. Either way, these in-wall speakers sound great thanks to the use of a frame and drywall to boost the mids. I wasn't allowed to use bookshelves or floorstanding speakers in our large room, so I figured installing it in the walls would be the best way to save the marriage. I connected them through a Denon X3500h to the SW-450 subwoofer and RP-450C center channel speakers (that's a winner too!). The sound is great whether you're watching 3.1 videos or listening to music in 2.1 or 3.1. They won't entertain the whole area like the Cornish, but these guys fill a room (and probably a house) with clear, smooth, undistorted sound at all volume levels (I rarely go above 75%, otherwise I face the wrath of my wife and son yelling at me to "turn it off!").
