I only cook as a hobby and to support myself, not professionally, but I have to say these knives are wonderful to use, a huge improvement over my previous set and definitely worth the investment in my hobby. Ingredients that I used to dice or slice I now get raw just so I can prepare them properly with ease. It's even more fun than a necessity when you have a blade that can hold its blade and is sharp enough to pierce your products like that. Although my old set was just "a bunch of knives" to me, I'm proud of my kitchen equipment now. Yes, they look really cool, I won't lie, so if you want not only looks but utility, get them!
