Review on Secure Your Cards with RFID Blocking Bifold Leather Wallet for Men's Accessories by Charley Prz

Silky smooth surface!

According to the product description, this material is vegetable-tanned full-grain leather. My guess is that in the actual leather sourcing process the manufacturer must have resorted to select traditional leather manufacturers using natural materials. Instead of chemicals like chromium, tannins are used (hence the word 'tanning' in the leather-making process). Tannin is a natural polyphenol found in plants. These "tanning agents" are substances that occur naturally in the bark of trees such as oak, chestnut, mangrove and are used to extract the "tanning agents" in which leather hides are immersed for several weeks. The manufacturing process is labor intensive and requires skilled workers to produce the desired product. The end result is leather with a "silky smooth" finish with no visible scars or natural marks. This is the traditional type of leather that will patina over time, acquiring unique properties for your wallet. If you like these types of leather and want them to develop their own characteristics as they age, it will be interesting to see how they look in a few years. The photos posted should give you an idea of what to expect. Otherwise it's a pretty standard design with capacity for up to 8 credit card slots, a driver's license identification window, 2 coin slots and 2 bill compartments. It conveniently fits standard US bills. One small caveat, however, is that it can get unwieldy if you fill this wallet up completely with all the slots occupied. As long as you're holding fewer than 6 cards and some cash, you should be fine. Pricing information was not available at the time of writing this review. I hope the price is reasonable. With that in mind, I rate this four stars!
