Works well for me

I taped some of this carbon fiber tape to the underside of my car door - a spot that sometimes rubs/bumps when I sit down. he's still fine. I don't know if this is real carbon fiber but it looks nice and is thicker than other bands. I also can't tell if it will stick to car paint at all times of the year as I didn't put it on the outside of my car. But it looks good and so far it is as advertised to me.
