Review on INTELLITEC 0100055000 Battery Disconnect Relay by Leo Torres

So I bought this after reading the reviews especially Craig Us. Good rating by the way. But the relay I received is not fixed. This means that the contacts remain open until the coil is supplied with a constant current. Many times I tried to give it an instantaneous impulse to close, and of course it closes the contacts, but after the power was turned off, the contacts opened. My relay is nothing but a normally open relay. So since I needed this to work for my project I disassembled it. I didn't find anything inside that would force the contacts to stay in the closed position. Two opposing springs inside with a magnet that prevents the contacts from closing due to position or vibration. The springs balance the open contacts and open the contacts when voltage is removed from the coil. All I can say is good luck with what you get and no voltage spikes will lock the contacts.
