Well I checked, the socks are really waterproof, not a drop of moisture has touched my skin. And that's it. The design of the socks is such that the outer layer is made of soft fabric that absorbs water. Between it and the inner layer of tissue there is a kind of membrane that does not let water through. However, as this outer layer absorbs water, any positive effect of keeping feet dry is completely lost. The only reason your feet need to stay dry is for temperature control. However, because your foot is surrounded by a waterproof fabric layer, you lose thermal control. Well, unless your goal is to freeze your leg. The membrane also makes it difficult to take off the socks. The socks do not wrinkle or roll up like regular socks, as if a thin layer of rubber is attached to the foot. So taking them off is more like taking them off. All this points to an average wearing comfort of the socks. Nothing out of the ordinary, but definitely not uncomfortable to wear.
