This is how using it is fun: Special household appliances

Love it! So easy to use that my 9 year old is already making pancakes, even better than me. It's easy to clean. When I first took it out, I rubbed the surface with oil before plugging it in to prepare the surface. I just cleaned it with an oily paper towel which I use every 4 or 5 pancakes. It also helps keep the surface from sticking. I haven't had to use soap or water yet as a paper towel on the hot surface will soak up any drips. If it gets too greasy I'll probably use some soap and water, but it will burn off on a hot surface for now. I love that it comes with a pancake batter holder. It's a lot easier than with a plate. When I was a girl I had the recipe written on a dough holder which was a plus but I think it was from Grande Gourmet which I think is long gone. I hate looking up a recipe every time I want to make pancakes or flipping through a book and looking through dozens of different pancake recipes that I'll probably never use. But it's good to have a book if you ever want to fantasize. Of course the actual recipe I wished for was Suzette, but that was the only recipe that wasn't in the book I ordered so now I have to google it too! But I'm not here to talk about the book! Rschunimagu. I can't confirm how long this machine will last as I've only had it about a month but I don't expect it to have the longest shelf life since I bought the cheapest and heard about models tipping over. breaks more easily than expensive top grills but i bought this one because its easy to use as i have young children and i remember using one of these when they were their age so it was about time i got it to buy for them. Besides, parents know better than to keep expensive things around the house, especially when they are the same as my kids. So this is perfect if you have teenagers who want to learn to cook or if you are new to making pancakes. The only annoying thing is that when the pancake falls back into the b4 batter it will tip over, but I just un-forked it and started over. It's so much fun and everyone loves to eat delicious pancakes. I'm so glad I bought this!
