Review on Franklin Sports Disc Golf Set by James Gregg

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Terrible at catching discs over 40ft. Suitable for child's play or from a distance of 30 feet.

I am returning this basket because it is pretty bad at catching golf discs thrown from about 40-50 feet or more. Chains are single-layer, made of lightweight plastic. Many shots fired with some force and hitting the chains fairly well still fly/spit. This can still be perfectly acceptable depending on your conditions: still very useful in that sense. It's a reasonable height and width, although the tracks aren't as wide as many real golf carts. If you're just interested in practicing circle 1 punches from about 30 feet or closer (small yard, indoor practices, etc.) I think it's pretty good for that. If you're looking for a casual game for kids to play in the garden, this is a good game as long as you don't expect to be able to use more than one disc from the set (see below). It is very light (no metal chains, thin metal). center column). It is fairly easy to assemble/disassemble into 3 travel pieces that easily fit in a travel bag, making it very portable. You can even ride a bike with a disassembled basket in a bag on your back to get to a nearby field. The included discs shouldn't cost more than $5, and it's all off the stick. The driver labeled 160 grams weighed 187 grams on my scale, the midrange labeled 160 grams weighed 186 grams on my scale and the racquet labeled 167 grams weighed 175 grams on my scale. Although the discs were packed side-by-side in a flat inner carton, the driver arrived very warped and the midrange dome is slightly higher on one side than on the other. Both are practically useless and fly like heavier paper plates. I can go further with a plate than Simon Lizotte with this "driver" because he makes barrels and falls out of the sky like a dead duck as soon as he's released. The stick is quite usable though and flies well with some harsh decay, maybe 2/2/0/2 or 2/3/0/3. Unfortunately, the other two discs are only paperweights.
